Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so obviously judging art is just plain dumb…but a decision must be made to appease the mob here in Revere. We’re simply looking for the sculpture that most killed it. We understand that judging via video isn’t as ideal as judging in person, though this format seems to provide a much more balanced perspective since we now have over a dozen select professional sand sculptors from around the world to judge vs. only 2 non-competitive sculptors that are available on site.
There are no boxes to be checked. We could care less about the number of cut-throughs, overhangs, ‘did they use all their sand’, height or any of the usual parlor tricks that your grandmother thinks is cool. Which sculpt kicked the most ass, that’s your criteria. There are no sculptor names or sculpture titles, just judge the sculpture. Voting is on the bottom of the page…good luck.
